Statement of Purpose

Coralie is a Therapist who offers counselling for individuals in Ponsonby, Central Auckland. She works in private practice and is also a longstanding member of the senior team at Youthline.

Her belief is that you are the expert in your own life, and yet, there can be times when you may feel lost or disillusioned. We don’t always get to choose the difficulties that come our way, but we can choose how to deal with them.

Coralie works to empower people to deal effectively with their problems, and has particular interest and expertise in working with couples, trauma, anxiety & depression, grief, women, and parenting issues.

She had a number of jobs in the public and private sectors before training as a Counsellor, which means she has experience of many of the events that life can throw at us.

Approaches and Modalities

Coralie uses Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), the most researched and validated therapy in the world (particularly for depression & anxiety), but she does not believe that one size fits all and also uses other therapy modalities as needed.  These include Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT), Person Centered counselling, Transactional Analysis (TA), Metaframeworks, and Mindfulness.

Therapy sessions cost $140

Partial funding may be available through WINZ if you are a beneficiary or student.
